Get A Diagnosis

Here are some steps to help you get a diagnosis for your baby's discomfort.

  •  Select a Doctor - The first thing you need to do is select a doctor.  You will most likely start out with your pediatrician.  The recognition of reflux is finally starting to spread in the medical community.  Many pediatricians are able to diagnosis and treat reflux.  However, in same cases a specialist may be required.  Click here for more information on selecting a doctor.

  •  Gather the Facts - When you first approach the subject of your baby's discomfort with your doctor, he will ask you questions regarding your baby's behavior, habits, etc.  Click here for a checklist you can fill out, print and take to your doctor visit. (Coming soon!)

  •  Understand the Procedures - Your doctor may suggest one or more tests/procedures to determine if your child has reflux.  Click here to learn more about these tests and procedures.
