Does that seem strange? Maybe I am mistaken...?

Also I just read a shot about vaccines and it said there is a correlation with increased reflux and the Hep B shot given within 12 hours of birth. My son had that shot and he has reflux. Just curious if anyone has an opinion on this.

: )

It sounds like your little guy is in so much pain when he is lying down! How terrible.
I researched Enfamil AR and found several comments that it causes constipation so I tried to not use it. I did notice my son ate better on Good Start, but he developed a milk protein allergy and I had to switch him to Alimentum. I have a Goat's Milk recipe that is supposed to help with Reflux and my GI Specialist said it was a great formula but he doesn't allow infants under 15 months to drink Goat's Milk. For that reason I haven't tried it but am considering it because he said it looked like a fantastic homemade formula...?

Do you think the Zantac has helped at all?

I don't think there is any harm in consulting with a Specialist to get a second opinion!

I hope the sleeping and pain improves SOON!

Do you have to feed a one year old a cow milk based drink? Or can you switch to something like coconut milk or almond milk (assuming that you provide some sort of supplemental vitamins)?

Thanks,

Nat

He is now almost 9 months old and very healthy. They called it reflux at that age and when that didn't work we ended up in the ER new years eve because of vomiting. He had pyloric stenosis which you should look into. It causes forceful vomiting and begins to get really bad around 12 weeks or less. It requires a simple surgical fix. After thet he was healthy but because of his extremely bad reflux as well and sensitive stomach we had another 3 hospital stays and alot of checks run. We have finally fixed his reflux enough that he can eat and drink like normal in the last 2 months but his reflux was a rare case. The pyloric stenosis may be the problem and may fix everything. It stopped my sons pain and forceful vomiting.
