![]() Topic: How to elevate baby's head???Posted: 13 January 2009 at 3:42pm |

My LO is still in her bassinet and growing out of it as we speak...we have tried to elevate her crib mattress using a wedge and pillows but she just slides down (not very safe) and doesn't benefit from the incline..any suggestions...we love the bassinet and does very well with the elevation.
Thanks in advance!!!

I know Naomi has posted before about putting a rolled up towel or a pool noodle in a U shape duct taped to the mattress under the sheet to prevent the sliding. We tried this & it worked very well for a while.
Another option is just using the swing for a few months. We still use this at night if Evan's had a rough reflux day. |

Thanks. But what happens if LO raises her feet...which my LO tends to do a lot and then she slide down to the U part of the noodle down by her butt...hmmm this is quite difficult indeed. Have you heard of the AR Pillow? I just googled reflux and found this site..it seems pretty liable and may actually work for a big baby as well..

LOL, you beat me to it, Erin!
If baby raises her legs, it's ok because she will only slide until her bum hits the bottom of the U and then she'll just hang out there. As long as you make the U shape wide enough, it shouldn't cause a problem. But, this only works until baby becomes more active and/or starts rolling over.
