We've only had our tube for 3 days.  How much water do you use to flush the tube?   We have been using 25 cc before and after. It seems like too much to me.  We have a mickey button.

How old is your baby?  If they are less than a year, you should only flush with enough to clear the tubing.  Too much water can throw off their electrolyte balance.  On an older child, you can flush with more water--it is akin to drinking water.

The inside of the tube is not that large, about as large as a pencil. It is easy for large fragments to get caught inside the tube and clog it up. It is not easy to unblock the tube.

We only use 4-5 ml. Just enough to clear the extension tubing. My boys are 9 mths.
