Now StarENROLLINGStar interested participants for an Infant Colic study at DCT's Dallas Medical City location.

Your child must be between 1 to 4 months old to be considered for the study with a diagnosis of colic.

Colic is not a disease but a pattern of persistent, prolonged crying. Doctors consider it colic if an otherwise healthy infant up to four months old exhibits the following behaviors:

·         Loud crying lasting three hours or more for three or more days a week, for at least a week.

·         While crying, the baby draws their legs to their abdomen and clenches their hands and curls their toes; their face alternately flushes and pales with the effort of crying.

·         Episodes of crying that sometimes begin or end with a bowel movement or the passing of gas.

Qualified participants will receive study-related exams, lab tests, and study medication at no charge. Participants may be compensated for their time and travel.
