![]() Topic: Tax deductions for formulaPosted: 16 December 2011 at 11:53am |

Hello!
I apologize if this topic has been presented before, but I came up empty in a search.
Has anyone had luck including special formula costs as a medial/health deduction for your taxes? I suppose I should ask if it is allowable, as I'm sure some have done it whether or not it is eligible.
I know formula is considered food, so it isn't eligible. But if the doctor told us to use Elecare for reflux/MSPI issues, would that me an exception? It wasn't a prescription technically, but medically necessary IMO.
I'm not even sure we'll meet the deductible eligibility amount, but adding in the formula might get us there. Thanks! Edited by nad83 - 16 December 2011 at 11:54am |
