Hi everyone. I am at the end of my rope and tired of seeing my 5 week old baby seemingly in pain. He's been relatively fussy since day 1, but it has gotten progressively worse in the last 2 weeks. He has always spit up quite a bit, but it has just recently seemed to bother him. He weighed 8.3 at birth, 10.11 at his 1 mo check, so clearly no weight gain issue. He has very wet burps and frequent wet hiccups, he stiffens his body sometimes after nursing when I try to burp him, he has had what I would consider projectile spit up/vomit 3x in the last 3 days, he cries quite a bit then spits up and seems calmer for a little while. We give him a paci and I've changed my nursing positions to help with what I think is an overactive letdown. And I hold him upright for as long as I can after feedings. This as helping somewhat with the spit up. Night times are awful, he won't sleep anywhere except his swing occasionally and always if someone is holding him. We have also gotten into this cycle of constant eating followed by spit up followed by crying and rooting about an hour later. I m exhausted and have a 2 year old who is getting none of my attention and I just don't know what to do. My dr seemed reluctant to give him meds but finally prescribed prilosec after my prompting. Tonight was dose 4.

Any tips? Does this sound liek reflux to you guys?
