I'm Melinda, im 24. I have three awsome kiddos.
DS is 4yr11mo DD1 is 2yr9mo DD2 is 4mo They keep me on my toes but i like it. We live in massachusetts and i will be homeschooling this year. I practice self weaning with breastfeeding. Both the girls are still nursing. I practice extended rearfacing and extended harnessing, both the girls are rear facing and DS is harnessed. I find that i have alot of similarities with the attachment parenting lifestyle but don't neccessarily label ourselves as an AP family. I prefer to do things the natural way and i'm not big on medical interventions as a whole. That being said I'm a nurse and we all see our drs for wellness checkups in addition to seeing a chiropractor monthly and a naturopath as needed. We cloth diaper, wish we had the finances to eat organically. Starting to make my own cleaning supplies. I like being crunchy. lol Youngest has ?reflux? and we're trying to make a plan of action for her. Thanks ladies.

I answered your other post!
ds2 rear-faced until he was four years old!
I wore my babies until about 3 and 4 yrs old!
I breastfed until 15 months (they pretty much were done - I followed 'don't offer/don't refuse starting at 12 months & they went until 15 months)
I can relate!

Wow! I've got a lot to learn from you ladies. I would love to wear my babies. I tried with the boys and tried several kinds if "wearers" but they all caused severe back pain. With Shiloh I tried a little but she was so content to just lay and watch her brothers. I always (tried to) swaddled my boys to go to sleep. But Shiloh loves to be "loose". But I bet i I had the right "wearer" she would've liked it. Maybe you can tell me what I need for my next baby.
I am "all about" doing things the natural way!! :) I have a lot that I would like to say here but it is late and I have a busy day planned for tomorrow. So for now, I will suggest that you read my blog. (see signature) I am SURE that you will find it of interest!! :) |
