Elimination Diet (breastfeeding your GERDling): http://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2852 Breastfeeding & reflux: http://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2942&a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;PN=0&TPN=1 breastfeeding diet for reflux: http://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1175&a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;KW=oil Elimination diet: http://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=2852&a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;KW=elim there's a breast feeding support group at yahoo where they are really into discussing diet :http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/breastfeedingreflux/ & one of the moms from that group has her own page: http://web.archive.org/web/20090606001903/http://www.users.qwest.net/~fsdebra1/ [this link is dead? the one above should workhttp://www.users.qwest.net/~fsdebra1/]- she's the moderator of the group, so you might want to start there
dr. sears elimination diet: http://www.askdrsears.com/html/4/T041800.asp http://www.users.qwest.net/~fsdebra1/wweintro.html all about elimination diet-what to eat & more!
article to help figure out how to reintroduce food from elim diet: http://allergyadvisor.com/Educational/December_2.htm scroll down to ‘C’ orange/mustard box-it's the SECOND orange/mustard box if link doesn't work, try: http://web.archive.org/web/20101212024030/http://allergyadvisor.com/Educational/December_2.htm this site helps with introducing foods to your baby's diet and also tells about intolerances/allergies- please 'get past' the NAME of the article, as it refers to introducing solids to the breastfed baby, NOT telling you to wean your baby!!:
[site is gone for original link: http://users.bigpond.net.au/allergydietitian/fa/wean.htmlabove link should work?]
here's others experiences trying to decide whether to switch to formula: http://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=5059&a mp;a mp;a mp;a mp;TPN=1
To learn more about Eosinophilic Disorders: http://www.apfed. http://www.cincinna ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ from traci on yahoo breastfeedinfreflux board (I have permission to post!) I know that many of you are eliminating foods to try and get reflux and some other GI symptoms under control. Years ago I found this website: http://users. by a Dietician that focuses on food allergies and/or intolerances. it provides some very, very useful information for this group on eliminating foods, what to do if your baby is allergic to breastmilk and much, much more. They even have a "suggested food introduction schedule for highly allergic children" on this page.
One of the things I found most helpful was the "symptom checklist" http://users. One of the other great things provided is a printable "food diary"
http://users. http://web.archive.org/web/20071103090454/http://users.bigpond.net.au/allergydietitian/fa/diary.html
which is essential in determining which foods are causing problems. Edited by hellbennt - 07 January 2012 at 10:36am |

CELIAC & WHEAT ALLERGIES These 2, Celiac and wheat allergies, are not the same but I will post links here about both. help with wheat allergy/ intolerance: http://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4837&a mp;a mp;PN=0&TPN=1 One of the most useful ones I think is Jax Peters Lowell, Against the Grain: the slightly eccentric guide to living well without gluten or wheat. It's more of an informational book than a cookbook (though it does have some very good -- and simple -- recipes) but I found it quite useful for what to look for ingredients wise, what I could or couldn't eat at restaurants, etc. from Christine, Palemer’s Mom http://www.infantreflux.org/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4225&a mp;TPN=2 Edited by hellbennt - 03 March 2006 at 6:28pm |
