Baby Wedge – does it work?

Looking for anything that helps my son sleep through the night. Matthew is 8 weeks old and his reflux is getting worse. I’ve propped his pack n play and created a u shape with towels under the sheet to keep him from sliding down and to keep him on his side. But he always manages to flip onto his back. Obviously a problem when he spits up. I’m not sleeping, listening to every noise he makes afraid he’s going to aspirate. He’s also constantly waking up because of his reflux.

Wondering if anyone’s had success with this product?

I don’t like the other products that requires you put the baby in a harness. A huge process that would just wake him up once we finally get him sleeping.

If your poor baby is in pain, then I’d say to get him properly medicated…this helps the sleeping situation…in the meantime, I don’t know anything about the wedge…

you could try getting him an angel monitor and place him on his stomach? I can’t recommend this, of course, but there are many parents who have tried this route…

We never had any luck with sleep positioners. I ditto Laura — get him on the right dose of medication and you’ll see a world of difference.

We do swaddle my son (he’s 6 weeks) and put him in the Bright Starts By Your Side Seat, which has different incline options; he sleeps pretty well in it (at night, anyway).

I feel your pain, my son is 4 months old now and we have tried so many products! The RES-Q wedge helped tremendously, and yes its a wedge with a sling type thing, but its velcroe and easy to work with! He doent need it anymore because thankfully his reflux is improving and prevacid has also helped.

whoops I meant he is 6 months old but we didnt use the wedge till 4 months! wish we found it sooner…
