We’ve only had our tube for 3 days. How much water do you use to flush the tube? We have been using 25 cc before and after. It seems like too much to me. We have a mickey button.

July 21, 2010 at 12:06 am #66744AnonymousInactiveHow old is your baby? If they are less than a year, you should only flush with enough to clear the tubing. Too much water can throw off their electrolyte balance. On an older child, you can flush with more water–it is akin to drinking water.
August 29, 2012 at 7:57 am #70866AnonymousInactiveThe inside of the tube is not that large, about as large as a pencil. It is easy for large fragments to get caught inside the tube and clog it up. It is not easy to unblock the tube.

February 1, 2013 at 3:53 pm #71582AnonymousInactiveWe only use 4-5 ml. Just enough to clear the extension tubing. My boys are 9 mths.
