Hailey was like this. She pushed away and didn’t want to be held, but wouldn’t let me put her down either. Turns out it was her reflux. She was so uncomfortable that she couldn’t sit still or just comfortably be held. I had to walk her around, sshing and bouncing until she finally resisted and would fall asleep upright on my shoulder. That was the only way she could be held. No one else could hold her either. Sometimes it seemed like she was fighting me, pushing away, arching, crying. I knew it was the reflux, but it was still hard.
