My LO was diagnosed with reflux at 2 months and has been on medication since about 3 months. Zantac and Domperidone…spelling??? I have been noticing some wheezing coming from her when she breathes in…almost like she has asthma…is this normal and can she have GERD and not just reflux? Forgot to mention she is now 5 months…hydsterg2009-01-16 16:04:02

GERD and reflux—-at least on this board—–are pretty much interchangeable terms. wheezing is not normal if it is coming from her lungs. if it is just a sound coming from her throat, it is pretty normal for reflux babies.

does your baby seem comfortable on zantac, if not, i would request a PPI. i would also have the wheezing checked out to make sure that she is not aspirating.
