Ok so sam was starting to show a LOT of improvement and was nursing
pretty well, and accepting solids, sleeping longer at night, etc. Life
was finally “ok” and did not revolve around trying to get him to eat.
Then I noticed the bumps on the lower gum. A couple of days after that
he stopped wanting to nurse again. He’ll still take some solids but not
a lot. Also having a hard time settling him for naps and bed. Now one
of the teeth has cut because I can feel it (OW! He bit me with it!) but
has not pushed up yet. I’m assuming the other lower middle tooth will
be soon to follow…
Does it sound like just the teeth are making him crazy? How long can I expect the teeth to affect his eating?
I can tell he is refluxing a LOT more right now (increased from when he
was eating well a few weeks ago) but it doesn’t seem acidic. Just lots
of very yucky wet burps usually followed by spitup. No arching….just
bobbing on and off while eating and then crying and shoving his hand in
his mouth.
Argh. Just when I thought I could see the light at the end of the tunnel…
I’ve got Hylands, and motrin. Sending DH to get the benadryl today… any other tips?
