InactiveBIG HUGS! Hope he’s feeling better soon. I’ve definitely been there (in fact, I was all of last night!), so I know where you’re coming from. Is there someone that can come to give you some relief? Hang in there.

InactiveEven a short reprieve can really help you feel better. Do you have family nearby or a friend to call for a little help?
Also, I know this sounds nuts but I found that for me the noise level is the thing that puts me over the edge. It’s not holding him, or not being able to do anything for myself, it’s the noise from the screaming. So, as strange as this sounds when we have really bad days around here I put in ear plugs. Then I can carry him around and the screaming doesn’t bother me as much. We just went through two weeks of this with an ear infection, meds that didn’t work, more meds that gave him a tummy ache, and then cutting a molar. The ear plugs really helped me keep my sanity.
I hope he’s feeling better soon.

InactiveAmen to ear plugs!! They were our saving grace when Abby was at her worst. It is so hard listening to them scream – hope things get better for you soon!!

LOL. With the housefull you have I can certainly understand the need for ear plugs. I don’t know how you do it. I’m worn out with three.September 11, 2006 at 3:03 pm #13361Anonymous
InactiveCan you give him motrin and then tylenol 4 hours later for the day to see if it helps? If it is his ears or teething on top of a cold, that makes one miserable baby! Sending lots of hugs your way! You are holding it together better than I do… I have been so beat and tired that I have had to just plop her in her crib for an hour and go cry my eyes out until I fall asleep for a little while. Best of luck! Sarah
