InactiveThis is getting worse and worse for us here

So i only started the MSPI diet yesterday because meds don’t seem to be helping but the problem is today I give her the meds after waiting 3 hours since last feed then i wait 30mins then i try and feed.
She won’t feed at all, she keeps pulling off the breast everytime she refluxes which is every 3 seconds and won’t go back on. So she prob drank 1oz at most.
No wonder this med doesn’t work, shes not out of pain to eat enough. She keeps tilting her head to the right and grunting all the time. She seems to be dribbling alot more than normal so not sure if this is reflux related or a teething issue?
Do you think it will be ok to give her some of the compounded stuff i have later? I’m trying to drag it out as i don’t have much left

I’m at such a loss, i don’t know what to do with her

InactiveThe meds will still work, but I think Joel once said that if the meal isn’t there to activate it somewhere between the 20-hour mark, then you can lose up to 70 percent of the effectiveness. Some people though have never timed the meals and still had an improvement.
If she’s not eating, then I’d just give her the compound if you can until the CaraCream gets there. Your situation sounds terribly familiar to how Hailey was at that time. (Actually she’s been going through another bout like that lately). I know how you feel, it’s AWFUL! I hope that she can get some relief.
Are you able to get the compound into her? I’ve heard of some peole adding flavoured syrup, the kind that you can buy to make slushies, right before they give it to make it work better. I don’t know if it affects the med though.

InactiveI feel so bad for you guys. Hailey’s been refusing meds again, and I know how awful it feels. I hope that you can find something that works soon.

InactiveDoes anyone know if Mylanta can be given 30 minutes after the Prevacid? Maybe that would make her feel a little better and she’d eat a little more.
Myles was only eating about 2 ounces per feeding when he started Prevacid and it still helped him. Once the medicine kicked in (about 10 days for hime) he started eating much better.
Hang in there. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer before she’s feeling better.
