i think Trace has another one. he s been screaming and now the inside of his ear looks red. its a friday night…. has anyone use the homeopathinc ear drops? i think hylands makes them.
nope, Aidan has an infection at the moment, his 2nd, and he’s on omnicef, Amoxicillan and Augmenton didn’t work. I don’t mess around with ear infections, when he gets the slightest hint of a cold and pulls on an ear, I take him in. My husband had them so severly when he was a baby that his hearing was affected..so I take no chances. If you’re concerned about his ears, I’d take him to the er or to his doctor asap.
no doc available over the weekend. we have been to the ER 5 times with Trace, and every time run in to not the smartest doctors. i am not going to get into it, because i know some people might get offended, but i absolutely cannot stand er’s. i think i will wait till morning and see how things are and then maybe take him.
Natalia- Just a thought, have you tried a warm compress? It used to help Kayleigh when we had to wait for an appt. I used a warmed wash cloth or a heating sock. Just beware of the temperature as it can be hotter than you realize (I”m sure you’d already thought of that) Has your ped ever given you any drops to keep at home incase he gets a earache when you can’t get seen? Ours gave us Ear-gesic it is not for infection only to help with pain. We used it for interim use. It can not be used when a child has tubes though. Hopefully you have found a solution by now or at the best Trace is sleeping through the pain. Good Luck
thank you, yes i use heat too, my mom used to do that when we are little. i wish our doc gave us ear drops, that would be nice! im not so sure its an ear infection anymore though
