Well, the Dr appt on Friday went better than expected. They did actually acknowledge that Lizzie has a problem, but were unwilling to prescribe her any more medicine. However, we were referred to a Ped GI! I am very happy about this since we can now deal with a specialist. Now we just have to wait for the appt to be set up with the Ped GI. I hope they can get Lizzie in fairly soon!
I want to thank all of you again for your help. Everyone gave me such great encouragement and helped me start my research. Now I feel fully informed about this problem (which I think impressed the Dr).
I will make sure to let everyone know how the Ped GI appt goes!

I’m glad the appt. went well and I hope your wait won’t be too long for the specialist. I’m sorry the doc wouldn’t increase or change her meds in the meantime. 
Unfortunately no.
The Dr has already said that she is on the highest dose of zantac for her size (which isn’t true, but that is another issue). I have started giving her Mylanta when it gets really bad and that helps some. And I am going to try to get on the Ped GI’s cancellation list (if her appt is too far off)…so hopefully I can get in pretty soon.Do you get Zantac as a syrup in a bottle- if so could you just up it a little anyway. My GP said that Alana could take up to 2 mls 3x a day and she is about 6.5 kilos- pounds I think thats about maybe 14 roughly.
I was concerned re the alchohol in the syrup- so the doctor has given effervesence tablets- maybe you could ask for these, just say you are worried re alchohol and then you could use more of the tablet- we are only using 1/2 a day whcih is = to about 1.3mls 3x a day of the syrup.
I put the tablet in the nipple of her bottle this morning and she sucked it down like you wouldn’t believe ( I think the bubbles meant she burped heaps better after her bottle later- bit like me when I partake in my fav-diet coke
