Iam currently using the reflux wedge made by the OT dept at Childrens Hospital and it is inclined at 45deg with side support and raised base (for legs) to prevent sliding down. My daughter sleeps well when I hold her in inclined position (around 30 deg), but when I put her on wedge, she wakes up within minutes. I was wondering whether its due to raised base…

This has been going on since 6 months and Iam exhausted!!!

I read great opinions about Amby bed, but worried as its bit pricey and cant be returned if it does not work out for me. My daugther hates swings, bouncers and infant seats….so, I really dont know if she likes amby bed. Also, I guess Insurance will not pay for it (the current wedge came on prescription paid by Insurance)

I was wondering if any of you have experienced same thing..how did u handle it?

It could be her age. At 6 mths they are more aware than a newborn. We started the tucker wedge at two months. My friend’s child was 4mths when they tried it with no luck. I would worry about trying an amby bed with a 6mth old

Also, mommy is way more comfy than any wedge. You are warm, moving bed as opposed to a cold, stationary wedge. My son is 13 mths old and still doesn’t sleep well at night (YAWN). All you can do is keep trying to put baby down and pray that eventually they will accept it. We held Matthew the first two months and they were indeed exhausting. Hang in there

We just started the tucker sling/wedge at 4 mos and the past two nights he slept 6 hrs and only woke up twice. Before that it was three hours and then every hour after that. He won’t nap in it though, so I just put pillows under his mattress for a little incline during the day. He’s a tummy sleeper though, so I don’t know how well back sleepers like it.

Maybe you can find a sling on ebay and just try pillows under the mattress to get an incline that she’ll approve of? I found a new sling and wedge on ebay for a lot less than full price. At least you can sell it when you’re done and get some money back.
