Ok, I am about to go nuts over here. Ben has been on Zegerid now for 2 weeks and has been doing sooo much better. He even took 2, 2 hour naps yesterday! However, he is still really gassy, and while this may be the Mylanta, yesterday he was also spitting up way more than he has in a while, and seemed to be struggling with painful gas. I can’t figure out why this happens every once and awhile and then he’s fine for a few days. The only thing I can think is that’s what I’m eating. I have really cut out almost all dairy, but am still eating soy… soybean oils at least in some foods. The other day though, I had some yogurt raisins. I was nervous about it, but he seemed fine that day and the next, but then yesterday got progressively worse, and he wouldn’t go to sleep last night and has been having problems today too. Could it really take several days for him to react to something I ate? I am planning on starting the elimination diet soon because I’m so tired of feeling like I can’t eat anything. Anyway, does this sound like MSPI to anyone or is it just reflux? What advice do you have for the elimination diet? I looked at the food list and what in the world do you eat for breakfast??? I’m not excited about starting this over the holidays, but I am so tired of feeling guilty about something I ate when he struggles so much.
