Kaelyn loved the Gerber diced foods, and still does. I carry a couple of jars with me if we go out to eat, just in case the restaurant doesn’t have any “safe” foods for her to eat.
She still spits out any new foods that she tries, although now it’s not unusual for her to do that with the first bite and then go on to eat all of the rest of it.
Is she supposed to be chewing? She’s NOT at all. She pushes the food around in her mouth but makes no attempt to try to chew it. So she either swallows it whole or spits it out???? You can’t “teach” chewing, can you?
Usually they do some “gumming” as well as moving it around with their tongue. But, don’t worry yet. Myles didn’t do any gumming or chewing until he was over a year old, and he can eat anything he wants now at only 15 months.
