I just want to take a minute and say thank you for your replys to my introduction and also for this website!
Hearing that many reflux baby’s end up needing to sleep on their tummys gave me the courage to approach my doctor about it. To my surprise, he was very supportive! He said that at this point, we needed to do what ever worked and that with his reflux, he couldn’t tell me he was any safer on his back.
That night I elevated the mattress and tried to make a nest to keep David from slipping and put him down on his tummy. He slept for 4 hours. FOUR HOURS! He had never slept like that before and it seemed to be peaceful sleep which was so surprising to me after what a rough time he’d been having even sitting up with me all night.
He’s done that for a week now. Last night he slept for 5 hours 20 minutes, ate and then slept again for 3 hours. I can not tell you what a difference this makes in my life!
