Just to let you know that 10 packets a month isn’t enough to do 8 mgs. Its only enough to do 6.6 mgs for 30 days. I would do some checking because I don’t think you are getting enough. Now about the dosage. I can’t believe that they think that low of a dose is going to help. I hope you can get an increase.

We had the same kind of dosing problems. When Hailey started hers at 2 months, I can’t remember her weight, they said that the highest dose they could give was 7mg/day. … they said something about 1.4mg/kg twice daily as a MAX dose or something like that. I didn’t know about marci-kids, so I didn’t know that we had room to move. I would monitor her symptoms. If you don’t see any improvement and she needs more, then I’d try to get a doc who will increase it, as there’s definitely room to move.

Justice is on Zegerid and I am also suprised the insurance is willing to pay for it. Ours won’t. Also I don’t think the dose is high enough. I am not suprised though. Most docs. won’t give a high enough dose. I would check the marci-kids site.
