I just called marci kids and spoke to Chad. i asked if the caracream needed extra buffer like someone posted a few days ago. he said NO. he said the old caracream kits did, but they reformulated them and now they dont, and they are stable. stated that the kits contain 16% sodium bicarb and this is sufficient.
i dont understand this because dr phillips emailed someone on here a few days ago stating the opposite and said to add mylanta.
i dont want to bother him with my email but i think i may have to. this is frustrating.

Interesting. I was wondering if they reformulated the kits, since we last spoke with him on this issue quite a while ago. That might also explain why Hailey has had a harder time tolerating the newer batch that we got. Maybe more sodium bicarb is the reason.

As for bothering Dr. P. with your email, I wouldn’t worry. You’re paying for the kits, and you need to know how to give them properly. They’re only human, so maybe he made a mistake in his previous response?…. Once he told me to add 8 capsules to the therasol but turns out I was supposed to add 16. I only figured this out after almost 2 weeks of sheer horror! Hopefully he can sort things out.

wait….i was told to add 8 as well. to make 3mg/ml. oh man…..not this, too?

anyone else use caracream?? this is starting to upset me. if its supposed to be 16 and ive been using 8, no wonder he has been crabby lately! he isnt getting anywhere close to the dose he needs. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

I was told to use 8 as well – but that was also what I used 2 years back. So I think for the Jr. kits, it is the right formulation. I wonder why Chad and Dr. Phillips are providing different information. Please keep us posted if you hear from Dr. Phillips. I will also send him another email.
