excema

thanks so much christine that made me feel better.. i guess i just wanted to know if that was o.k. that i know that he reacts somewhat to the dairy and if it fine that i keep him on it.

thanks and hopefully your right that he will do fine

Lauren, it sounds like a tough one. I get realy bad eczma on my scalp and it sux big time, Sometimes I feel like i want to rip my scalp of (and thats with putting the very toxic steroid based lotion on it).

Does he seem bothered by the ecezma- eg scratching…I think if he was and I couldn’t relieve it with any treatments i would try and look at the formula issue again. O only really suggest this because it bothers the hell out of me when I have it (like now- i have ben scratching alllllllll day) I have read some posts about flavouring the formula- ie alimentum with banana food, golden syrup etc and reducing the flavouring as they get used to the formula?

Sorry to throw the curve ball……

Excema is so hard….my dd gets it and its def food related, cuz just on neocate and shes fine (well and using gentle soaps)….my ds had it as a baby but it was gluten related….my dh has it, and had it horribly as a kid…hes been dairy free and whatnot and his is still horrid…his seems to get worse with environment and stress….

I would say go with what your gut is telling you, and thankfully he is not too bothered by it (when dd had is she scratched herself raw)
