InactiveYeah, this is true. Sadie sleeps less than she used to (3.5 hours at most), and I think it’s because the gas and her going the bathroom wakes her up too- Plus, like I said before, it goes through her system so quick that she’s hungry more- But, she is still being such an angel that I am sticking with it! She is less “Squirmy” now, but still has more gas than before- at least she passes it without pain though, so aside from making me laugh at what comes out of her rear end, no major problems- She does seem to spit up a little more, but it’s more “liquid” and not curdled like it used to be- She gets hiccups too, but she always has- I do think that she burps easier on this stuff, which causes her hiccups, so maybe that is why? Does Shane eat the same amount on this, compared to other formulas? I am wondering if he doesn’t feel as full, so he eats more, then refluxes more? Every time Sadie eats a lot, which for her is like 7-8 ounces sometimes, she spits up and hiccups a lot more-
How is he doing now?

InactivePooping like clockwork can be annoying but is better than the opposite. I used to love it when Sarah did it because I knew that the daily poop was over and I could travel without a diaper bag. Last night Hailey screamed for an hour straight while she tried to pass a really hard poo. I felt so awful for her.
Good luck.

InactiveThanks…I agree…once I had to literally “help” Sadie get out some really hard poo because she was so constipated she couldn’t physically do it on her own (when we were trying soy)- well, then after I helped her, she fell asleep and woke up screaming bloody murder because she had passed the rest of it- I never ever want to hear that type of scream again- I felt so bad for her- she just wimpered for about 30 minutes after too- These poor babies! I will take the loose stuff anyday!

Inactivewell shane doesnt just poop in the morning.. he poops maybe 2 or 3 more times during the day before bedtime!
but i think he does drink a little more goodstart than other formulas but i always thought that that was because he likes the taste better! but shane is doing o.k. i really am thinking his crankiness is soo his temperment! i say this because i notice it when he wants something or is not being entertained. we had a party sunday and he played with is cousins for 2 hrs straight. than when i am alone with him he whines and wants to be held but as soon as i pull out somehting new for him to play with he is happy again. sooooo.. i guess he is doing well on the goodstart, no other real complaints except the excema.

InactiveSarah was a cranky baby. It was just her temperament. I think they called it “high needs”.

InactiveYeah, Sadie, at only 10 weeks, has a little bit of a “high needs” personality too- I notice that she’ll be whining and cranky, but suddenly she’s fine if I turn on the tv, change position, or magically do something to entertain her- I think she gets bored or something. She just started seeing her babysitter one day each week- and the sitter told me that she takes 2-3 hour naps in her swing there, when she will barely take a 30 minute nap with me, so I must be doing something wrong! They are such temperamental things!

InactiveWow – I thought I’d just chime in here, because Caden is also like this. I think he gets bored too, because when we go to the store or out to storytime, etc. he does FINE – like the perfect baby most times. My mom didn’t even believe he had colic at first because every time I’d take him to her house, he would just be content and looking around. I do wonder sometimes if a lot of this fussiness is just his temperment. I know he had gas and reflux, so I understand that his discomfort is real, but it has to be partly his personality too since he can be so happy when he’s entertained! He is definitely high needs.
