InactiveBen has been able to roll over from his belly to his back for a while now, but it is now become a problem!! He almost always will wake about 30-45 minutes into his naps. Sometimes he is able to get himself back to sleep, but lately, he is rolling himself over and then he can’t go back to sleep that way.
What do I do? I have tried going in and turning him over, and it just makes him scream.
I remember my daughter doing this at one point, but I honestly can’t remember what we ever did about it!!!!

InactiveI posted about this same problem several months ago, except Sarah was rolling to her stomach and getting stuck. She HATED being on her stomach! DH and I had to perform several “rescue operations” in the middle of the night to flip her back over. Thankfully it didn’t take much for her to go back to sleep. One day during a nap, she had been fussing and I KNEW she had probably rolled over to her stomach. I was in the middle of doing dishes so I finished up a few minutes later and she had stopped crying. When I went to check on her she had fallen asleep ON HER STOMACH! She always hated tummy time and wanted NOTHING to do with being on her stomach…now she’s a tummy sleeper every night! Go figure!
So, long story short…I don’t have an answer for you. Sorry! I just hope that over time he will 1) get used to being on his back or 2) learn to roll back over QUICKLY! Good luck!
How is everything else going? Is he feeling better from the RSV?

InactiveI think I remember that finally happening with Claire.. She just fell asleep on her back too.
I think part of the problem though is that his bed is inclined, and he rolls sideways, so he couldn’t roll back over, as it would be uphill. Does that make sense? Maybe I should ditch the incline. Never really thought it made much difference anyway.
He did this for a few days before he got sick and then quit.. now he’s doing it again.. does this mean he’s feeling better??? Who knows.??
I think we are over the RSV, but Claire is still running a temperature, and he is still on the antibiotics for his ears. He is eating much better though, so that’s a plus, for sure! Now we just need to get this sleep thing conquered. He was sleeping so much better while sick, go figure!!

InactiveYou sure have had a tough go with that darn RSV!!!!! I hope Claire starts to feel better soon.
I would say ditch the incline and see what happens. It would definitely be hard to roll uphill!
