We make to much to get wic right now(just barley),but I read somewhere if there is a nutritional need you can quilify. Well my docter is thinking of having me switch my babys formula to a hypoallerginic one that is really expencive. Someone told me you can get spiecal formula through wic if your docter writes a persciption. I was wondering if anyone is on WIC and if reflux MSPI is considerd nutritional need.And if they do give checks for special formula? TIA

When our doc was considering Neocate, I called WIC right away to see if we could qualify. Their response is that it doesn’t matter how expensive the formula is. It depends on your income and that’s the only thing they consider. We were over so we were sunk. Maybe WIC in your area will tell you something different. Doesn’t hurt to try. Good luck.

We don’t qualify for WIC and they said the same thing as Gabby’s Mom here in Alabama…its totally based on income. Hopefully in your state it will be different but it wouldn’t hurt to call them and ask.
