After a full week, Addy is back on Zegerid. She refluxed so much today…even one time getting choked for 5 or so minutes and not being able to catch her breath.
I had hoped she had outgrown this but for now, we are trying her meds at night to see if that helps her sleep. (She has been sleeping very badly the last few nights.) I hope she won’t have to go back to her full dose each day.Oh no! I always enjoy reading about other little ones success of getting med free. Maybe you could try Mylanta or Tums instead of going back? So sorry poor Addy! and Mommy and Daddy too

Maybe soon she will be done.Oh, no…please don’t apologize…I wanted to try and wait it out too…but yesterday was her worst day yet. Maybe in 3 months she will be ready!

Your post sounds like it could be ours!! Oh well, at least she will be happy on the meds. Abby is happier already since we started her back on. It will happen eventually!!

Abby was on Zegerid 12 mg 3 times per day. What we have done is on Friday and Saturday, we gave her the afternoon and evening dose but yesterday, only the evening dose. So far, so good. We hope that just the evening dose will be what will help her out. It had been working great but we thought we would “prime” her a little bit by giving the extra couple of doses to get it back in her system again. Who knows??? It’s all such a guessing game. I guess I would rather have a happy baby on meds than play around trying to get her off of it sooner than we should.

I’m sorry for both of you that your little sweeties still need their meds. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer before you can wean them successfully.
