Well, I hope typing this doesn’t curse us but since we restarted Abbys evening dose of Zegerid last Friday, she has gone to sleep and slept perfectly every night. When I put her to bed now, she plays around, talks to herself and goofs around until she falls asleep (usually about 15 minutes). When she was off the Zegerid, it was non-stop screaming until I think tiredness eventually took over. I haven’t even heard her make a peep during the night, which has lead to a much happier Mommy and Abby (Kayla and Daddy too but they could sleep through a tornado!!).

We have her on 12mg each night and it seems to be working. No plans to mess around with taking her off any time soon – I’ve learned my lesson . At least it is just at night.

Robin – I’m sooooooooo glad to hear that the night dose was all she needed! That’s so great! I constantly beat myself up when one of my “little experiments” with Sarah fails…but remember…you won’t know anything unless you try! I hope the 12mg is all she needs for a while!

Hi Robin,
I’m glad Abby’s doing better now that she’s back on her night dose. At least you were able to cut her down to only one dose! I hope things continue to go well for her, and she outgrows it completely really soon!!

Thats great news Robin…you are so much closer to no medication than you were when you started this weaning adventure. Crazy Abby is no longer crazy bad sleeping abby

I am glad that the night dosage is working for you. It sure has helped around here. I just can’t see changing anything right now either. Its great that she is feeling better on a low dose.

Glad to hear that she’s back to herself and sleeping better again. We also do one dose before bedtime, but it’s quite a bit higher.

Yeah for sleep!!! And also yeah for Abby only needing one dose. We still have Brianna on prevacid, but the dose is so low, I just can’t help but be happy about it.

Robin, so glad to hear that Abby’s feeling better and sleeping better! It is so hard to figure these things out but it is great that you tried and she is down to only 1 dose! I hope things continue to improve for little Abby!

Thanks so much guys!! Abby is still doing pretty good. Has a little bit of a cold (what’s new???) but it doesn’t seem to be bothering much. She goes in for her 1 year check up and shots on Monday so hopefully that goes OK. She is drinking juice pretty good with her sippy but having trouble getting her to take her formula on it. She eats meals REALLY well so I am not too concerned. She is such a “crazy Abby!!”
