decrease in appetite and constipation

Alana goes through stages where she drinks less. WHO KNOWS WHY!!!!! I think and think and second guess etc…all the things us mums do and then just when I think I am going crazy things go back to normal. Maybe just try a few things…gel before drinking…paracetamol an hoour before drinking…tsp of brown sugar in her bottle (this is the ages old constipation trick…has to be brown…it worked when alana was small and had some constipation) and see what works. You could also try some gastrolyte in water…or some juice in water or just plain water (if you are worried about keeping her hydrated). Oh she’s on soy…thats pretty constipating anyway for most. Early on one Dr suggested that I just add an extra 10-20mls to her bottle at every feed (above the reccomened water to formula ratio) and this extra water will keep her stools less firm and wouldn’t make much difference to the calorie factor.
