InactiveAdriana started to move alot in her crib and would end up at the bottom upside down on her incline. This all started during her recent reflux flare up. SO, I tried to make a U shaped nest in her crib, but it just irriated her because she likes to roll from each side to her back all night long. I have tried her flat, but she started to make those sucking in air noises from her reflux (called stridor) during the night. I haven’t heard that noise in a long time. I am worried that sleeping flat will cause another flare.
Any suggestions on what I could do? And has anyone noticed their child getting worse after starting flat sleeping.

InactiveDagney does the same thing! I’m not sure if I should take the incline out of her crib or not, since probably at least half the night she’s either sideways or just upside down on the flat part of the crib!

InactiveI’m sure there’s something, but if there’s not you should invent it. We had the same problem with my oldest son Luke.

InactiveYou know Brianna was the same way, but we kept (actually still have it for some silly reason) the incline in. Half the night she was sleeping on the wrong end, but everytime we tried to take the incline out, she would have a terrible time sleeping. What we did was to gradutally decrease the slope on the incline. We had started with two big books under the legs on the crib…first we decreased the book size, then took one book out…we still have the one small book and really now could probably move it, but I just think Brianna likes sleeping on the incline…and well, what’s not broke, I just don’t fix. Honestly, if she doesn’t seem bothered by it…I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

InactiveOk so mine isn’t rolling over or anything but we did find that he would kink sideways and get stuck so we started using our changing pad thingie by Sealy in his bed. It has curved edges and it seems to keep him in the middle while letting him roll side to side some.
And to check it out, my hubby put his face on it and could still breathe so we felt a little better (of course they say not to allow infant to sleep on it on the label but we were desparate).Maybe you could wedge a towel under each side of the mattress to keep a dip in the middle. Just a thought.

InactiveI tried to do toels next to her, but she hated he confinement and wanted to roll from side to side. I decided to put the incline back in because she slept terrible the nights it was out. I do have it inclined a little less than before.
I think she is more comfortable sleeping that way now.
I am just trying to figure out how I am going to have her sleep when we go to my parents lake house this summer.

InactiveWe still have Hailey in a comfy lift bed even though most times she’s upside down with her feet in the air!
Just now, she’s decided that she likes our bed better than her crib and has been sleeping flat and moving all over the place- her reflux does flare, but there’s nothing we can really do to keep her in place. We just conceded and bought her her own bed, whch is arriving momentarily. -
