I just read on another thread on this site that a mother had great success with goat’s milk–she was having problems with Neocate due to her child’s intolerances to corn. Many of these formulas have corn in them!
My SIL owns a raw food company (rawmelissa.com) and eats mostly raw, so we hear a lot about the benefits of eating raw and we get lots of raw food samples. Eating completely raw, unfortunately is extremely expensive. I’m not sure I believe in eating completely raw, but I would definitely like to eat more raw, and especially more organic. Oh well. We do the best we can.
Yes, I agree….depressing and frustrating. Unless you can afford to buy all organic and/or grow all of your own food you are likely poisoning yourself and your children with every meal you prepare. OK, so I’m a bit of a pessimist. Sorry.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I agree with the others. I am not going to look at changing Alana’s formula or transition to real dairy until her reflux is gone.
Christine, Yes, she’s amazing. She’s a single mom of three kids and she started this business up all on her own along with a second business where she’s a birthing coach (doula).
