Inactiveand boy was it a disaster. Adriana went to bed at 7:30 and woke up at 8:00 screaming. She had spit up coming out of her mouth and nose. She rarley ever spits up too. Then she was up cring and whinning about every hour throughout the night. It would take forever to get her to sleep, then she would just wake up an hour later.
SO, do you think it was because of the Pepcid Complete? Why would that happen to her. She has been sleeping poorly latley (hence the trial of Pepcid Complete).
I am so confused on what to do. She was sleeping so well before and now she takes forever to fall asleep and will wake up several times and be wide awake wanting to play. But last night she was miserable!

InactiveOur trial of Pecid complete was a total disaster as well, but in our case it was the corn starch in the pecid! It gave her horrible stomach cramping, bloating etc. I gave it before I read the inactive ingredients! I’ll never do that again! I wished they would just list all the ingredients on the back, instead of just the active ingredients on the back and the inactive ones in the pamphlet!

InactiveJenny just a few thoughts….Is her Prevacid dose on the low side? Has she had a growth spurt and does she need an increase?
I’d probably give the pepcid complete a miss for awhile I think…just in case. Do you have any Zantac left over (if you started on this?). I would probably give her a night time dose of this and see if it helps?
Is she napping OK during the day? Could she be wanting to transition to less naps during the day and more sleep at night? Or are her daytime naps pretty ordinary to?

InactiveShe just had an increase in her Prevacid dose a couple weeks ago. She could probably use another increase. Her daytime naps are okay, but not as long as they were before. And I do have some Axid left. I could try some of that at bedtime I guess.
Overall she is pretty happy, not refusing bottles or arching. Well she has cut back on how much she eats at her second bottle of the day, but I’m not sure if that is normal or reflux related.

InactiveI’m sorry the Pepcid Complete did not work for her.

Maybe Axid before bed like Therese suggested. I guess you could try Tums one night. I’m not sure what the inactive ingredients are in that, though.
How much does she weigh now? I know you said her doc won’t increase her dose until she’s 20 lbs. Is she even close to that yet?
Could she be teething? Two of my three babies slept poorly when teething even though they were good sleepers generally.
I hope you get it worked out soon. It’s so hard when you don’t know what’s bothering them.

InactiveThe pepcid complete was bad for us too. The maalox nighttime (like gaviscon) was bad for her too. It’s trial and error. One thought… did you give the pepcid too close to the PPI? For us, the only way we could get around that was by not giving the PPI, which tells me why the reflux was so bad. Good luck. It’s trial and error.

InactiveJenny, Alana started to slow down her drinking again at that age…from memory. Its probably pretty normal.
We have just transitioned from 4 to 3 as Alana was only drinking about 80mls from the second and third bottles…now she drinks 200mls at her middle bottle.
