Inactivei just stumbled upon this article and am a little concerned. i am wondering if anyone has any info on this:
“Babies on hypoallergenic formulas receive about 1 gram of total neurotoxins per day, a level at which many MSG-sensitive individuals experience adverse reactions. “
We believe that well designed long term studies would demonstrate that infants raised on hypoallergenic formulas, as compared to infants who are breastfed or fed on non-hypoallergenic formulas, will exhibit more learning disabilities at school age, and/or more endocrine disorders, such as obesity and reproductive disorders, later in life. “
here is the link to the article:

Inactiveyes, i read that same article a while back. i think the weston price foundation is a bit extreme… they also have REALLY scarry stuff out on soy formula. but i did read another seperate article that was talking about the high MSG levels in hypo formulas. so, i guess it might be true about the MSG… and we all know too much is not good for us.. but, there arent any long term studies really done on it as they said… soo they draw a lot of conclusions.

Inactiveyes my son is on neocate, which is known to have EVEN MORE amio acids than nutrimagen. therefore, more “neurotoxins”. read the whole article. not sure if you know a lot about neocate? nataliachick72007-4-15 19:20:48

Inactivedon’t worry natalia.. you are doing the best you can for trace. and i swear you can find something bad about almost anything on the web! thats why i try not to look things up (i still do, but atleast i “try”. i have the tendency to get scared too and than i obsest about it.. and think he isnt going to turn out normal. but, most things that we read on the web arent fully true unless from a reputable source..and than on top of that ..most things that we worry about never end up coming to pass anyway! i have had a big past of worrying about shane even before he was born!..and i have to fight it and put things out of my head when i read things that scare me. and i have to tell myself too that i am doing the best i can for him…and they are going to turn out great because we care so much!
