1. How long have you been a mom? 3.5 years
2. How many kids call you mommy? two
3. When you were pregnant did you know what you were having? Sarah was an amazing surprise- dh wanted to find out, but since he couldn’t come to any appointments or ultrasounds due to SARS, we left it as a surprise. We found out with Hailey (only b/c dh REALLY wanted to) but told NO ONE!
4. How old were you when you became a mom? 29 (almost 30)
5. How long were you in labor? About 5 hours with Sarah (I was induced). 3.5 days with Hailey (they kept sending me home saying it was early labour).
6. What’s your favorite thing about being mom? Sweet smiles, slobbery kisses, unconditional love, tickles and giggles, a lifetime of new discoveries and amazing adventures.
7. What’s your least favorite thing? neverending reflux, feeding aversions, seizures, sleep deprivation, worry about all of the dangers in the world today.
8. Do you want more kids? I do (but am way too scared), DH says we’re done (but won’t commit to a vasectomy… so it’s still a possibility).
9. Have you ever taken your kid(s) on a trip? We went on a few trips to Montreal with Sarah, and drove to Cape Cod when she was a few months old. With Hailey, we’ve for the most part been chained to her feeding schedule, but have managed to get out to the zoo or th e amusement park.

12. Are your kid(s) named after someone? Sarah Abigail- Sarah’s Hebrew name (Avigail) is for my grandfather’s brother who was killed in WWII. Abigail is the translation; Hailey Ilyse- Hailey’s Hebrew name (ILIZA) is for my grandfather. Ilyse is basically the translation, which came to my mother in a dream before she was born.
13. When is the last time you had a sitter? Not since Hailey’s been born. I wouldn’t leave her with a stranger, and no one in the family is brave enough.
14. When your kid gets in trouble, who is the bad guy? DH and I try to back each other up with the discipline, but I’m much more of a worry wart and disapprove of more things. DH is more of a free spirit, so I always have to watch him and then stop all the fun. (So I guess that means I’m the bad guy?… maybe not the bad guy, but definitely the party pooper!)
15. What is the longest you have been away from your kid(s)? 3 days in the hospital after Hailey was born. Other then that, when I go to work and leave them at daycare.

25. If I could do it over, I’d do this differently: Have Hailey projectile puke on anyone who says that “all babies spit up”.
26. Did you breastfeed or bottle? Sarah- breastfed, pumped and supplemented with bottle for the first few months, then bottle fed. Hailey- breastfed and pumped for the first 4 months then sleep-fed bottles.
27. What are you children’s current obsession? Sarah- biting her nails!, ballet, princess, imaginary play; Hailey- Pulling out her hair!, Barney, Dora, feeding her dollies (how ironic!), screaming “STOP! I no like DAT!”, climbing up and down stairs, twirling in circles until she falls down, and of course copying EVERYTHING her big sister does.
