Update On Addy

We went to see the GI Dr. last Thurs. First time we’ve ever
gotten a positive report! He had given us 2 weeks on the Neocate
to gain enough weight to avoid getting admitted into the hospital for a
biopsy and feeding tube.

She gained enough thank goodness, in fact as of yesterday she weighs 10
lbs. 14 oz.!! She’s still about 2 lbs. below what she should
weigh, but we’re making a little headway!

She is now taking a bit of cereal in several bottles a day. She
is tolerating it well, except for that it tends to make her have a bit
of gas, but she doesn’t seem that fussy with it.

The Dr. said at 6 months he would start her on a strict schedule of introducing baby food.

So if we could just get some help from the insurance company in paying for the Neocate.

We are thrilled that she’s going in the right direction at last.
