InactiveWe tried them with both Kayla and Abby but it was before we knew they had reflux. I guess they never made much of a difference with my kiddos but you never know unless you try. Good luck!!

InactiveWe used them for Brianna as well. I think they did help slightly, but my GI said it was most likely becuase of a high alcohol content that made her sleepy so she slept through whatever was bothering her. After he told me about the alcohol I stopped using them.

InactiveLauren I didn’t realize he was having an endoscopy done! May 11th must be test day…we’re going to the ENT (not near as big a deal as yours though). Please keep us posted. I hope it goes well.

Inactivethanks amy and kathy. yep shane is having an endoscopy done soon.. i really dont want him to though! i am REALLY scared! my husband reacts very badly to anesthesia! oh ya and the prevacid didnt make ANY difference..and i didnt think it would. but i can tell he is uncomfortable @night still.. with all the moving! i would LOVE to find the answer before the endoscopy… positive thinking…
. we’ll see about these drops…May 4, 2007 at 10:08 pm #32275Anonymous
Inactivelauren-just a thought?
maybe its food intolerances? the ONLY symptom of Traces wheat intolerance initially was TERRIBLE nightwaking and middle of the night screaming/irritability
i dont know…would neocate maybe help him out?

Inactivehey natalia, i have thought of the neocate.. but i KNOW he wouldnt go for it this late in the stage. i tried getting him back on alimentum a couple months ago and it was horrible. soo.. i really think its late for that..
but since the ped. o.k’d doing whole goats milk @ 11 mos. for us.. because of our situation and how we are trying to find out if its his diet.. and because he does eat other foods well.
i know about the similarity with the cows milk.. but there has been so many success stories that i cant help but try it! if the goats doesnt work.. i might try the rice milk when he turns 12 mos…. as long as his fat intake goes up. or maybe even almond milk.

InactiveLauren,
Brianna had an endoscopy done, and while I was scared for her just like you are, I am so glad I had it done. It showed esophagus errosion even though she had been on prevacid for over a month. And it finally got these Dr.s to pay attention to the fact that Brianna’s reflux was pretty bad (no one really believed me because she was such a happy baby, but she had the same problem as Shane…terrible night waking) They switched her to nexium for a few months to heal that errosion. I hope the goats milk works for you. Keep us updated on the scope.
