Quinn… admitted again.

Quinn was admitted this morning. I woke her up to take her to the doc and her eyes just told me that she was sick as a dog. She did not want to lift her head. Just touching her seemed painful for her. She was really hot and she had dark circles under her eyes. IF I sat her up she just slumped over. Oh I knew she was really sick.

We got to the pedi and they just told me not to waist my time with an office visit and to go to the E.R. That’s where they would send me anyways. Quinn was immediately hooked up to an IV drip. Blood work showed that she is fighting off another infection of some sort. Why can’t she just fight them off like normal kids??? The doc thinks it is viral and so he didn’t want her to be on antibiotics. She is hooked up to sugar water and salt and some potassium or protien… one of the two. She has not ate or drank anything all day. She finally peed for the first time at 5pm. She has been sleeping most of the day, but otherwise, she just lays there. She has been whining a very little bit, and that’s if she feels well enough to do it. She does not struggle when they prod at her. She does not cry too much when they poke her. She does not want to be moved. She’s just laying there. I haven’t seen her smile all day. My poor Quinn. She’s too young to be so sick all the time.

Quinn lost two pounds. That’s pretty frustrating. Ugh… will it ever end???
