i just found a bump or lump on top of shanes head.. right exactly infront of his soft spot. i dont remember him falling on it! is this anything to worry about that ya’ll might know of?? the bump like goes straight up.. and u can only feel it if you rub side to side not as much when you rub back and forth.

Is it in front of the soft spot or the soft spot itself that is raised up? If it were the soft spot, I would worry… otherwise.. I’d probably watch it and him and see if it changes or he acts any differently.

I agree. If it’s the soft spot itself that’s protruding, I’d call the doctor immediately. If it’s a hard, boney lump in front of the soft spot, it could just be an irregularity in his skull. I’d mention it at his 9 month check up, but if it changes or grows before then I’d call ASAP.

yes he likes it.. i have to get the chill out though. and its his 1 yr. appointment this month ( not 9 )

i am VERY concerned though!! i dont remember him bumping it! and yes its right infront of the soft spot.

I’m also a worry wart. If you don’t want to take him in, then I’d call the peds office and see if they reassure you or tell you to bring him in.
