InactiveAre you all still trying to be healthy!!
I need some motivation bad to get back to doing SOMETHING!!!
I used to do cardio of some sort 3-5 times a week, now, NOTHING! And honestly it’s making me feel like CRAP!!!
I have little or no motivation b/c all my clothes fit, etc. I lost 15 lbs when Owen was sick and frankly I’m smaller than before I had children….. BUT, I still feel like crap! No energy and all, I feel like a walking blob!
PLEASE MOTIVATE ME!! I had a membership to a nearby gym and went everyday at 5 am, which is good for me cause I love my sleep! But then I had DS #2 and we all know how that went!

The first 5 months were pure H#LL!!!I guess I need to be held accountable for something!!

InactiveI have a GOOD update!…
I’ve been exercising using our recumbent bike 3 times a week for 45 minutes a day, as well as cutting out the junk food. The first month was really bad, and the sugar cravings alone I thought would do me in. But I guess it’s been over a month now and I’ve lost….
drumroll….
13 pounds!!! I feel so much better already, and I’m continuing on to my goal of another 13.
I’ve been a lot happier too since starting to take care of myself a bit.
YOU CAN DO IT!!… getting started is the hardest part.

InactiveGreat Job, Lori!!!!
I am down 11 so far as well! I’ve got a LOT further to go than another 13, but I also feel better and feel like I am going in the right direction!!!

InactiveOh my gosh! Good for you two! Okay, this morning was a complete loss!
Owen is having a little reflux flair and has been coughing a lot in the middle of the night and so I was up from 4-5 and didn’t get up to do anything.I’m home with them today, so I have to get to it!
I think the biggest part for me is giving up the junk food!
I think if I gave up pop, and I only have one a day already, I would feel sooooooo much better! But, I get “caffine” headaches when I don’t have pop, my DH says it’s in my head, but I never get HAs so I think that’s what it’s from!

Good for you two!!!!

InactiveCan you make your own tea and put it in the fridge? Iced tea is great in the summer and don’t add any sugar or very little and it will give you the caffine without the additives of soda…..Just a thought…
Hang in there, it is so hard when they are young and you have two that are very young!!! Anything you are doing is great!

InactiveI was thinking of asking for an update as well! Unfortunately, my stats have not changed much but at least I haven’t gained anymore! I am still binging but starting to recognize what sets them off and am working on it. I also bought a pedometer and am striving for 10,000 steps a day.
Enough about me, I wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to Lori and Ann Marie for your losses. That is so awesome and I am proud of you ladies!

It makes me see that it is possible to do this! Thanksfor your inspiration!

InactiveI probably need to try tea instead of pop, I really like sweetend tea (the way I grew up) but I really think I could maybe do that instead of pop. I even think a little bit of sugar vs the amount in pop would be better!
I hate artificial sweetners so that’s just out for me! That’s why I drink reg pop instead of diet! Thanks for the idea! I haven’t had my pop today! I think I’ll try that! The other thing is I usually have a pop on the drive to work on the days I work so then on my days off, I want a pop at 7:30 in the morning! I don’t even really want it, it’s just habit!

InactiveErica, I can not stand diet sodas and am not a fan of artificial sweetners either. So, I drink regular coke too. One thing I do find bearable though that you may want to try is the Crystal Light products. I’ve made up pitchers of it at home and also keep the to go packs in my desk that you add to bottled water. I try to go that route when I want a coke. I think it does have Splenda but does not have the awful aftertaste that diet sodas do.

InactiveErica, just saw where you want the caffeine which the Crystal Light does not have. Sorry! I can totally relate. I am literally falling asleep (scary) on the way to work sometimes until I get my fix. And, you can get headaches from caffeine withdrawal so it is not in your head (no pun intended!). You have to cut back slow.

Ann Marie- “WOO HOO”. That’s great!
Everyone else, don’t give up. Like I said, starting was honestly the hardest part. Good luck! (You can do it!!!)

Inactivecongratulations as well! that is soo great!! i have lost some weight too
, but not as much as i would have liked.. i lost 7 pounds in the past 2 mos. i guess about a pound a week. i am doing weight watchers and really like it.. i could be losing more if i just stuck to it through out the WHOLE weekend
.. i always seem to get lost somewhere. and erica.. do you take a multi vitamin?? that makes a lot of difference.. as well as eating more fruits and veggies than foods that have no vitamins in them.
and another great thing that helped me lose some more weight and helped me feel in a better mood was a cleanse that i did. its called the masters cleanse.. i did it for one day.. and felt great the next day.. if anyone would like to know about it i’ll let you know..its real simple.

InactiveWhat the heck it the Masters Cleanse?? Sounds like I should try it. And no, don’t take a mulivitamin. Have them, get gaggy taking them, should do it again. It’s just if I don’t do it with a meal, I get nauseated. Probably again, all in my head!
By the way, I see you’re doing goats milk too, how’s that going for you? I guess I can hijack my own posting?
