Good job Cooper!!!None of my babies rolled over until 4 months or later, and I missed the first time with Liza as well. I went out to get something out of the car and when I came back she had rolled over.

InactiveYay! That is a big milestone

Caden has never liked being on his tummy and quickly learned to roll from tummy to back to avoid it. Even to this day, he will roll over onto his back pretty quickly after being placed on his tummy. He is able to roll from back to tummy, but he usually chooses not to do it.
He is starting to be interested in moving though, so I’m hoping he’ll figure out that in order to crawl he’ll have to stay on his tummy for awhile
At this point, he rolls immediately to his back and then kicks like that is going to get him somewhere! He looks like a little turtle on his back with arms and legs just going, and he’ll be squealing and happy at the same time. It’s cute.Caden is finally cutting a tooth! He is getting the bottom 2 front teeth at the same time, so that is partly the reason he is so fussy lately (along with an ear infection).

InactiveWell done Cooper. Alana never rolled front to back (OK well maybe once or twice so I know she can do it). But she always went from back to front. Go figure
! Crawling is definately next…OK maybe we will give him a few more months
Naomi I just noticed your ticker! Shaking head no…we have a little one who likes to do that…thinks shes sooooo funny! She will not clap, but she can “clap” two blocks together…how did you get him to clap?

InactiveHey Therese…yes, Ben loves to shake his head no. He started doing it on his own, and we would laugh and say, “nooooooo.” Now, if you just say “no” he will shake it himself.
About the clapping. I think he just picked up on it. I would say “Yay” and clap when he would take a bite of something new, etc. And one day he just did it on his own and we made such a huge fuss over it, I guess he wanted to do it again to see us jump around like yahooos.
I also play pat-a-cake a lot with him. June 10, 2007 at 10:04 am #36165Anonymous
InactiveYay! Tell Cooper he’s a star!!!I can’t wait untill Kate does that too! She’s just now getting on her side a little bit but these new developments are soooo awesome to play out before your eyes. I remember the first time she squealed really loud I was so excited I laughed so loud I scared her!!!
