Thank you, thank you, thank you, Laura, for such a wealth of information! Thank you Shelby for responding as well.
I just emailed Marci-kids this a.m. too. They responded that certain foods that I eat can actually produce more acid (I assume that means in the milk that I produce). They named the usual suspects — milk, caffeine, chocolate
, cola and tea. I feel terrible that I ate a huge meal last night with a lot of things that may have affected Amelia this morning. She had a bad reflux morning
. I guess I will start with eliminating milk.
Laura, you asked me how Amelia’s stools are… interestingly, she has a bowel movement about once a week! I am inclined to believe she doesn’t have a food allergy/intolerance, however, I did just start her on rice cereal which of course ended up all over her face, and she had a rash on her face after that. I am not sure if the rash is a contact dermatitis from the rice, or if it’s from her eating the rice. I have to believe it’s from skin contact because of her bowel movements, but would love some feedback.
On a good note, Amelia is sleeping in her infant seat right now, and has been for over an hour! She usually only sleeps for 30 minutes tops!
Thanks again for all your support!
