This might sound stupid, but I’ve also been looking into self tanners and I was wondering if it actually makes your skin brown, or it is just brown itself so it’s like painting your skin. DH is afraid it’s the latter and that if I sweat with it on and then sit down on the carpet I’ll make a brown stain!

lori-“bronzers” are what to stay away from then. self tanners actually darken your skin like a tan would and lasts for up to a week. bronzers wash off in the shower.

Lori, the Jergens is a whitish beige colored cream. It dries pretty fast. Once dry, I don’t think you will have an issue with staining (unless you spill the actual lotion on the carpet). I have noticed staining though with the sprays. I would always put down an old towel before applying it and then try to stay put until it was dry.
