I just need to vent for a moment and get some advice. I love to volunteer. I have been doing is regularly since I was in college and joined a Service oriented Sorority. When I moved to Lynchburg, I realized that this town is very difficult to fit into unless you are related to someone from here, which I was not and I wasn’t married and didn’t have kids. Now I am married to a native and of course we have little Coop. Anyway while dh and I were dating I decided to join our local Junior League, which I love I must say, but I have this bad habit of not being able to say no when they ask me to take on different tasks. I am now going to be the chair of committee that I know nothing about (even though I was the assistant chair last year) and I feel bad b/c I can’t give it my full attention b/c I am so focused on making sure Cooper is okay and happy (I know you all can sympathize with me on that)… anyway, do you guys have any ideas on how I can focus more of my energy on my volunteer responsibilties? I can’t take a LOA as I was supposed to request that I think in May and techincally we don’t start working until August, but I have prep work as I am heading up all of fundraising and grant possibilties…. I signed up for this long before I knew I was pregnant and I can’t back out now.
