okay, this may be a stupid question… Do I still have to try single ingredient foods for 3-5 days, one new food at a time, on my 13 month old to test whether or not he has a food allergy? Prior to 12 months, everything caused him pain so we assumed it was because his system wasn’t ready to digest foods yet. Now, we’re having some success with eating and so far, I’ve only given him foods that he had at 7-10 months. Just the basics.
I just read a list of foods that are okayed for kids over a year old and with the exception of dairy and soy, honey, nuts and a few others, it seems like I can feed him pretty much anything now. I’m just wondering if he has to go back to the three day rule that we followed when he was much younger. ie: does he have to have three days of peaches before we can move on to something else?
Like I said, this may be a dumb question, but I’m still a new mom
. What do you experienced moms think? Can I jump in and serve him new foods at every meal? Or is there still a danger of severe reactions to new foods?
