Hello all,
I did decide to see the feeding therapist which was the OT at a local hospital.
She seemed to think that he will probably have some sort of allergies b/c he seems to have to stop eating to breath. She says this is something she always looks for in LOs b/c she has bad allergies and has trouble breathing when she eats to the point she doesn’t want to eat.
I definately have noticed his breathing, this was the very first thing that took us to ER when he was about 8 weeks old b/f anything else had even surfaced. His respirations were 80/min which is freakishly high for anyone.
As for the texture thing, she gave me some pointers and basically reassured me that it will pass. I think, and she agreed that I was trying to force too much on him at once b/c I just went with a whole meal of really textured things instead of trying a few bites here and there.
Last nights meal went a lot smoother, lots of gagging, but no puking and when he became upset, I switched to a stage 2 food that he liked and we were both much happier.
Hope it continues to improve and I will have to work on my patience skills!

Thanks to all !
