InactiveAs some of you know, I’m expecting. The morning sickness is creeping up slowly but surely. I have to eat every hour (i’m serious, it’s absolutely nuts) but very small portions. Any little tricks that helped you with your morning sickness? Mine lasts all day long, from the moment I wake up to the second I fall asleep. Last pregnancy, one of my friends gave me sea bands and they helped somewhat. I gotta buy some. Grrr…

InactiveOh I’m so sorry to hear that!! Hopefully this morning sickness won’t last as long as it did with Ariella! Hang in there! I wish I had a good answer for you. BIG HUGS!

InactiveYuck. I had morning sickness up untill four and a half months!!!!
I hope it’s over for you soon b/c it’s soooo yucky. For me…hm……I think for me I just made sure I ate something right when I got up but it wasn’t JUST in the morning for me. It was aaaaaaaaaaaaaall day!!!!
I’m crossing my fingers and toes super tight right now hoping that it will end for you soon. It’s the pits that’s for sure. I wish I had a great tip but all the tips people gave me when I was pregnant never worked!!
I’m so excited for you though, hopefully a baby with a fully developed digestive system!!August 2, 2007 at 4:11 pm #40371Anonymous
Inactiveshoot, i just typed this whole response, pressed on some button and it all disappeared. Anyway, as I was saying, it was pretty bad with Ariella so I hope it’s not as bad this time around. I didn’t only feel nauseaus with her but I vomitted throughout the day until the 6th month. Thank G-d I have an understanding DH who doesn’t complain about the dinner that’s not done or the dishes in the sink. He puts up with me 🙂

InactiveI didn’t have morning sickness per se, more like afternoon sickness. Just nausea, what I usually ate when I got home from work was a baked potato with butter and alittle salt. It sort of coated my throat and stomach so I didn’t feel so bad. Also try very bland foods without allot of spice and those small frequent meals are probably the best option. I will keep my fingers crossed that it doesn’t last long.

InactiveI got pregnant with Hailey when Sarah was 11 months old and the morning sickness started from day 1. I vomitted 1-2 times a day for over 4 months. It was so bad that I needed to take diclectin to prevent dehydration. That helped a fair bit. With Sarah, the nausea was a bit more moderate, and I was able to manage it myself: What helped the most was sour apples, LEMONDADE (the best), and jolly rancher candies…. sour really helps. Hope it passes.

InactiveMarianna,
He isn’t sitting totally by himself, but we are pretty darn close. This poor thing just doesn’t want to be a baby. He can sit alone for about 45-60 seconds at a time. I will be happy when he can do it alone b/c he doesn’t want to lay down anymore unless he has no choice.August 3, 2007 at 11:50 am #40437Anonymous
InactiveOh, you poor thing, I don’t have any advice, but I hope it gets better soon so you don’t have to suffer too much!
I was lucky and didn’t have morning sickness with any of my 3 pregnancies. Also, I just wanted to add that Caden is just like Cooper and seems to want to grow up fast! He was definitely sitting up for short periods by 5 1/2 months and by 6 he was very secure and not toppling much anymore. Now, he seems to be wanting to walk at 9 months (don’t think he’ll do it right away, but he’s trying)! So, watch out

InactiveI was very sick with our 3rd. Our doc told me to try to take 1/2 of a sleeping tablet. I was quite skeptical but it really did work. It didn’t seem to make me tired (or more tired
) but it did help with the nausia. It helped when I chewed gum and sucked on suckers. Hope you are feeling better soon.August 4, 2007 at 4:24 pm #40488Anonymous
InactiveI was going to mention the sour food trick too. Peppermint tea helped and so did eating protein… was never in the mood to eat it,but I always felt better afterwards.

InactiveMarianna,
We are in the same boat it looks like.
I was/am so nauseous it is crazy. And the funny thing for me is that now, I am pretty good during the day, but at night I just feel awful. I hope you feel better soon. When is your due date?August 5, 2007 at 10:41 pm #40552Anonymous
InactiveEmily, I’m due end of March (don’t know for sure yet since I haven’t seen the dr yet). Congratulations on your news. I just read. It’s very exciting. When are you due? Somewhere in February? My “morning” sickness lasts all day long and I try very hard not to throw up (sorry if TMI). What seems to help me is carbs but they don’t fill me up (I seem to be always hungry). How are you feeling? My last pregnancy I had morning sickness well into the 6th month (ouch).
