Does anyone know why when my infant spits up it sometimes comes out of her nose? It scares me so much.

Cooper did this when he was really little and before we got his reflux under control. He still does it but very rarely. I think it has to do with the quantity coming out and for whatever reason it can’t come out fast enough and so the nose is another route that it takes. How old is your lo. Cooper did it pretty regularly until about 3 or 4 months.

This has happened to Hailey a lot in the past. It is scary for them as well, and I think it burns a lot. Hailey used to go hysterical when this happened. It hasn’t happened much now that she’s older.

She is 7 weeks. She just started taking Prevacid and has been on Goodstart and breastmilk for 2 weeks. Still not sure if she is tolerating the formula well. She is very gassy and cries after every feeding. But I think that has to do with the reflux.

Us too She mainly did it when her reflux was at it’s worst. I haven’t seen her do it in a while. It’s scary for sure for both of us especially her but she never screamed in pain but definately looked uncomfortable! Yucky, no fun.
