InactiveI am really into photography, and personally my favorite shots are just them being themselves. My favorites are of my kids crawling away from me and I get down at their level and say their name and they look back at me. It’s kind of a whole body shot, but yet I’m not trying to force them to sit still. That just never seems to work for me and they end up upset and you get nothing good! I love close ups and head shots!
My favorite of my oldest was taken at a studio chain called Portrait Innovations, they had one of those column pedastals and she had it lying down on it’s side and he was messing around and fell off the back side and his feet are up in the air and he was laughing hysterically. The lady was like “oh you’re one of those moms” when I ordered that pose. I really like the out of the ordinary.
It’s really not bad at that age, it seems to only get worse as you go! My older son now says cheese and makes this horrible face, so you kinda have to get the end of the cheese to get any smile out of him!September 20, 2007 at 2:41 pm #42976Anonymous

InactiveOh my gosh Erica! Too cute! I still remember the pic. of Owen napping on the floor with DH when he was soooooooooo little! He’s such a little man now!!
As for pictures…you’ve got me there because Sarah is NOT photogenic. Every professional photo session we’ve had with her has been a struggle. She just doesn’t smile. I think the “candid” shots have been my favorites (where she’s looking at a flower or teddy bear) because the others just stink. I hope you have better luck than we have!!

Inactivemy only advice is … MAKE SURE ITS AFTER HIS NAP!
. let us know how the photos come out!September 22, 2007 at 3:56 pm #43102Anonymous
InactiveSee, with us, picture appointments always have to be early in the morning. After nap is always iffy. Some days they wake up happy and chipper. Other days, Kaelyn doesn’t nap well and she’s a demon child.
All of our best pictures have come from Portrait Innovations. They take tons of pictures, so you’re almost guaranteed to get at least one good picture. As Erica said, some of the best pictures of my girls have been “action” shots. -

This is my favorite recent one of the kids together, Griffin looks like he’s sqeezing the guts out of Owen, but that’s life at our house right now, and that’s what I want to remember!
